Aluminium welding technologies: experience from different industries

A key event at Weldex 2019 will look into aluminium welding across various key industries

The ‘New in welding, cutting, surfacing in the manufacture of aluminium products and aluminium alloys’ conference will take place at Weldex on 17 October 2019.

The event is open to directors and managers of production lines, chief welders and engineers, technologists and other professionals interested in developing their competencies in aluminium welding.

Representatives of the Aluminium Association, TsNII KM Prometey, FSUE NPO Technomash, RUSAL companies and the S7 Development Center will share their experience of industrial applications of aluminium welding for the aircraft, shipbuilding, automotive, transport engineering and construction industries.

Among issues to be covered in the discussion will be:
  • High-temperature structural soldering of aluminium alloys for rocket and space technology products
  • Using friction stir welding in manufacturing large-scale lightweight aluminium-magnesium alloy panels for ship hulls
  • Promising technologies for manufacturing aluminium alloy structural elements in aerospace engineering

A separate block of the programme will be dedicated to using additive technologies for manufacturing large-scale parts and structures, 3D printing of aluminium parts from alloys.

Join the industry at this exciting event at 10am on 17 October 2019, conference hall 1, Pavilion 4-4.1, Sokolniki, Moscow. Please note the conference will take place in Russian.
